Running an online store in Egypt is a different game from running one in Dubai or London. Cash on delivery is still the most common way Egyptians pay online, a confirmed order is not a delivered order, and the margin in your ad dashboard can disappear before the parcel arrives.

So choosing an agency for an Egyptian e-commerce brand is not just about who runs the best Meta Ads. You need a partner who understands acquisition cost, creative, the store, order confirmation and repeat purchases, and who reports on revenue you actually collected.

This guide profiles twelve agencies worth shortlisting in 2026, grouped into performance-led agencies, Shopify specialists and full-service agencies. Each profile covers what the agency publicly says it does, the proof it publishes, and the type of brand it is likely to suit. At the end you will find a framework for choosing, questions for the first call and the red flags to watch for.

Disclosure This guide is published by Cresco Agency. To keep it neutral, Cresco is not included in the list. Every profile is based only on what each agency publishes about itself, every figure is attributed, and the numbering is for navigation only. It is not a performance ranking, and we have not audited any agency's results.

Written by Ali Assem, performance marketing specialist with 11+ years in Google Ads and Meta Ads across Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

How we built this list

We started from agency directories (Shopify Partner Directory, Sortlist, DesignRush), other published lists and search results, removed any agency whose website would not load, whose case studies looked like placeholder content, or that published no proof at all, and kept those that meet four criteria:

  1. Active in Egypt: an office in Egypt or a stated focus on Egyptian brands.

  2. E-commerce capability: paid acquisition, creative, store development, CRO, tracking or retention.

  3. Published proof: named clients, case studies, figures, reviews or a verifiable directory profile.

  4. A clear, current website or verifiable directory profile.

We did not audit ad accounts, interview clients or verify agency-reported figures. Treat every number below as agency-reported, and ask for evidence on your own discovery call. All information was checked on each agency's website or public profile in October 2026; services and figures change, so confirm details directly before signing.

Why e-commerce marketing in Egypt is different

An agency that excels in the Gulf or Europe can still struggle here, because the economics of an order work differently.

45%

COD share of the e-commerce market, the largest payment method (2024)

55–70%

of online shoppers prefer paying at the door

74%

of B2C e-commerce spending on smartphones (2026)

11.5M+

Sources: P&S Intelligence (COD share and preference), Mordor Intelligence (smartphones), Central Bank of Egypt via Business Today Egypt (InstaPay).

Cash on delivery dominates. COD was the largest payment category in Egyptian e-commerce in 2024, at about 45% of the market, according to P&S Intelligence. The report does not say whether that share is measured by value or by number of orders. It also cites industry estimates that 55–70% of online shoppers prefer to pay at the door. This changes what "a sale" means. With card payments, a purchase in the ad platform is close to real revenue. With COD, it is only an intention: the customer can ignore the confirmation call, change their mind or refuse the parcel. An agency that optimizes and reports on purchases alone can show a strong ROAS while your delivered revenue tells a different story.

Confirmation and delivery are marketing problems. In a COD market, your real acquisition cost depends on three rates:

  • Confirmation rate: placed orders confirmed by phone or WhatsApp.

  • Delivery success rate: confirmed orders accepted and paid at the door.

  • Return rate: delivered orders that come back.

A strong agency asks for these numbers in the first week, and many brands bring order confirmation and WhatsApp follow-up into the same conversation as their ads, because it protects the return on every pound spent.

Digital payments are rising. InstaPay had more than 11.5 million registered users by December 2024, and the Central Bank of Egypt expected transactions through it to reach EGP 2.7 trillion for the year, according to Business Today Egypt. As customers get comfortable paying upfront, stores that offer a smooth prepaid option, and a reason to choose it, can cut delivery risk and improve cash flow.

Egypt shops on the phone. Smartphones accounted for about 74% of B2C e-commerce spending in 2026, according to Mordor Intelligence. Product pages, checkout and landing pages are mobile pages first, which is why short-form video, UGC and Reels appear in so many agency service lists.

Demand is spreading beyond Cairo. Credence Research estimates that the Delta and Upper Egypt make up about 20% of the market and describes them as the fastest-growing region. Messaging that works in New Cairo may not work in Tanta or Assiut, so ask how an agency segments by governorate.

Seasonality is sharp. Ramadan, Eid, back-to-school and White Friday can concentrate a large share of yearly sales into a few weeks. Ask how an agency plans creative, budgets and offers for these peaks, and how it protects margin when every competitor is discounting.

Measure what you can bank. The most useful metrics for an Egyptian store are usually:

  • Cost per delivered order, not cost per purchase event.

  • ROAS on collected revenue, after cancellations and returns.

  • Contribution margin per order after ad spend, shipping and COD fees.

  • Repeat purchase rate and the cost of a second order.

When you speak to agencies, notice which ones bring these up before you do.

How it works: parallel audits of the ad account, the store and social media; then content production, ad strategy and a CRO-focused revamp; then monthly content calendars, fresh ad iterations and weekly reporting.

Proof: testimonials from brands including Krack'd Snack, Flowrista, ZeroCarb Lyfe and Nazim Coffee.

Best for: established brands that want one partner for ads, creative, store and retention.

Ask: how they report delivered versus placed revenue.

How to choose the right agency

Start by naming your main bottleneck, then shortlist agencies whose strengths match it.

Your main problem

What you need most

Look for agencies that offer

Ads are expensive and ROAS keeps falling

Better structure, creative testing, fresh angles

Media buying + weekly creative production

Traffic is fine but the store doesn't sell

Product pages, checkout, offers, speed

CRO and store builds (Shopify or custom)

Many orders, too few delivered

Confirmation, follow-up, delivery tracking

Order confirmation, WhatsApp follow-up, delivered-order reporting

Customers buy once and disappear

Retention, bundles, second-order offers

Email/WhatsApp flows, offer strategy, LTV reporting

You're launching from scratch

Brand, store and first campaigns

Branding + store build + launch campaigns

You sell in Egypt and the Gulf

Two market playbooks under one roof

Case studies in both markets

Then check five things:

  • Evidence: case studies that match your category, price point, market and budget. A 20× ROAS on a flash sale and a 3× ROAS on a slow-moving premium product can both be excellent. For each case study, ask what the agency was responsible for, over what period, and whether revenue means platform purchase value or collected revenue.

  • Metrics: agree before launch how you will separate placed, confirmed, delivered and returned orders, and which of them ROAS is measured on.

  • Creative process: how many new concepts per month, who writes the hooks, how winners are chosen, and whether shoots, UGC and design are included in the fee.

  • Ownership: you own the ad accounts, pixel, Business Manager, store, domain and customer data, and pay ad spend directly to the platforms.

  • Full cost: separate the agency fee from ad spend, production, development and tools. A percentage of spend rewards spending more; a percentage of sales rewards selling more, as long as sales means delivered revenue.

12 questions to ask on the first call

Use the same questions on every discovery call so you can compare agencies on equal terms.

  1. Which of your current clients is closest to my category, price point and budget?

  2. Can I speak to one of them directly?

  3. Who exactly will work on my account, and how many other accounts does that person manage?

  4. Do you report ad-platform purchase value, placed orders, or delivered and collected orders?

  5. What do you need from my confirmation and delivery data, and how often?

  6. How many new creative concepts will you test per month, and who produces them?

  7. What will you change in my store or offer, and who implements it?

  8. How do you plan budgets and creative for Ramadan, Eid and White Friday?

  9. What do the first 30, 60 and 90 days look like, and what result would change the plan?

  10. Who owns the ad accounts, pixel, audiences, creative files and data?

  11. What is included in the fee, and what costs extra?

  12. What is the minimum contract, and how do we end it?

Red flags

  • Guaranteed ROAS or sales numbers. No honest agency can guarantee results in a market it doesn't control.

  • Platform ROAS only, with no mention of cancellations, refused deliveries or returns.

  • Ads run from the agency's own ad account, or reluctance to give you full admin access.

  • Case studies with no dates, platforms or spend, or placeholder content on the agency's own website.

  • The senior person from the sales call never appears again once the contract is signed.

  • Long lock-in contracts before any results.

  • No questions about your margins. An agency that never asks about product cost, shipping and COD fees cannot tell you whether your ads are profitable.

Frequently asked questions

Q What is the best digital marketing agency for e-commerce in Egypt?

There is no single best agency for every store. Match agencies to your bottleneck using the tables above, shortlist two or three, and compare them on the same questions.

Q How much does an e-commerce marketing agency cost in Egypt?

It varies by scope. Two public examples: SADUQ lists EGP 15,000–30,000 per month plus 3–5% of sales, and Commerce Gear's Sortlist profile lists marketing services from €3,000 and e-commerce projects from €10,000. Ad spend and production are usually billed separately.

Q What ROAS is good for an Egyptian online store?

It depends on your margin. A store with a 70% gross margin can be profitable at a ROAS that would lose money for a store with a 25% margin. Calculate your break-even ROAS on delivered revenue, not platform purchase value, before setting targets.

Q Should I choose an agency that also builds my store?

If your store converts poorly, yes. Ads cannot fix a slow, confusing or untrustworthy store, and an agency that runs both can see where visitors drop off. If your store already converts well, a media buying specialist may be enough.

Q Is a Shopify Partner better than a general agency?

For store builds, migrations and Arabic RTL setups, a Shopify Partner with directory reviews gives you verifiable proof. For scaling paid acquisition, check that the partner runs media in-house rather than only building the store.

Q How long before I see results?

PShift and SADUQ both publish similar timelines: first improvements within weeks and a fair evaluation after about 60–90 days. Quick wins usually come from tracking fixes, new creative angles and product page improvements.

Q Do I need a separate agency for Saudi Arabia?

Not necessarily, but Saudi Arabia has more prepaid payments, a stronger role for Snapchat and platforms such as Salla. Ask for case studies from each market.

About the publisher

This guide is published by Cresco Agency, a performance marketing agency working in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. We did not include ourselves in the list, because a guide should not rank its own publisher.

Our e-commerce work covers paid media on Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat, structured creative testing, and landing pages built for paid traffic, with results reported down to the delivered order. One public example is a Max Muscle Black Friday campaign that recorded 597 purchases and a 24× ROAS in seven days on $2,108 of spend. That ROAS is platform-reported: it counts purchase value at checkout, before cancellations and returns, so it is not the same as collected revenue.

The questions and red flags in this guide apply to us as much as to any agency on the list.
